Meet the DIY Chix!
"They Won"
Hi, my name is Morgan Sutherland and my dad, Scott Sutherland works for diywoman.
When I started playing netball we needed a sponsor so I asked dad if diywoman would sponsor us and dad said, “Sure, why not!” so dad got us purple diywoman t-shirts and left it all up to us!
We called our team the ‘D.I.Y Chixs’ and just had to wait for season to start.
Our coach, Leanne McNamara, had put the team together and when Saturday the 14th of April 2007 came we were so excited. We were playing in under 13’s and were playing a team called the ‘Golden Eagles Tic-Tacs.’ We lost that game, 19-5.
The team had training that week and we were all really confident with our skills. We played the ‘Cougar Blues’ and won, 16-12.
We would all like to thank diywoman for sponsoring our team and go ‘D.I.Y Chixs!!’
